Torso Bar Stool

Designer Lisa Hilland dreamt of creating furniture that combined both of her interests ¨C fashion and design ¨C in a self-evident manner. After a great deal of thought she came up with the Torso chair designed for Lisa Hilland's Torso is the chair, which as a bare torso, can be dressed. For 2018 she has expanded the collection with a barstool and a lounge chair. The woven leatherback is inspired by the traditional hunter chair and gently flirts with Swedish craft traditions. The chairs are modest in their expression yet they are visually striking with their woven leather detailing.

Lisa Hilland puts a lot of value on the fact that Torso is produced in Sweden as she prefers the environmental aspects as well as the hands-on quality control of the locally produced design. She can often be seen on the factory floor searching for eco-friendly solutions to enhance the project. The new additions are dressed for the party and you'll find them in sophisticated bars and salons. You might say that the Torso families are lobster and champagne chairs.

The Torso framework and leatherback are produced in Sweden. The combination of hi-tech and lo-tech, framework and attire, creates a notable dynamic. This is a design that suits the home just as well as the public sector.
