An indelible image of the 1960's, the Nesso Table Lamp beguiles today as it did in 1965, when Giancarlo Mattioli won Milan's Studio Artemide Domus competition. Nesso's mushroom-shaped, beautifully contoured form with a dimpled lampshade purported to be inspired by a woman’s navel - is as dramatic as it is simple, its single-color molded resin profile imbued with the kind of visual elegance destined for museum permanent collections.
