The Stemlite Floor Lamp from Gubi is a tall, slender evolution of the mid-century "total look concept, standing as a testament to the optimistic futurism of the 1960s. Moving away from standard floor lamps with bulky shades, this design features an elongated steel stem that terminates in a soft, glowing glass globe, creating a silhouette that is both organic and refined. Originally designed by Bill Curry and famously featured in the original Star Trek series, this remastered version incorporates a hidden counterweight in the aluminum tulip base to ensure modern stability without compromising its sleek, space-age profile. It serves as an elegant light sculpture that provides a warm, diffused glow, making it an ideal choice for illuminating dark corners or adding a vintage-modern accent to a living room lounge area.
